Studying the Bible has been a part of my life since childhood and attending this study has reinforced what I learned in the past. Bible Study provides a good opportunity to exchange views on various positions taken on Bible passages and meeting with other residents have helped me to make new friends.

Many of the residents with whom I began studying the Bible with, are now deceased. Soon we were down to two people, but I kept on coming and soon others joined us. I am encouraged by this class and I can hardly wait for Wednesday to come. I ask a lot of questions and it helps me to understand scripture better. I am looking forward to asking more questions and learning more with my wonderful teacher and friend. With God’s help and Rev. Gloria’s patience, I intend to study God’s word and live by it the best I can.

I have learned so much more about the Bible since I began my study with Pastor Gloria. I have learned to appreciate, understand and abide by the Serenity Prayer which daily guides my life. I now find that I can more easily accept the things that I cannot change and have the courage to change the things that I can. Using wisdom helps me to know the difference. We can always learn something from each other.

The main purpose for my attending the Wednesday Bible Study is to reinforce my belief that the more I know about the Bible and its many translations, the more I need and want to know. The class is a reminder of my needs and how I should share my beliefs and faith with others. I always learn something new at each class and get a clearer understanding of the passages we are studying.
